Annual Members’ Tour
On 2nd September, the Trust had its annual Members’ Tour, organised by Council Member Elizabeth Marshall and hosted by Joan Campbell.
Joan’s knowledge of the Romney Marsh churches is unsurpassed and she has that rare ability of making her talks both interesting and informative, as well as entertaining. In the morning we heard her talk about All Saints’ Church at Lydd before heading off to nearby pub The George for lunch.
This was followed in the afternoon by talks at St Mary the Virgin’s Church at St Mary-in-the-Marsh and St Clement’s at Old Romney, before returning to Lydd for tea.
We are delighted that Joan has agreed to return next year for another Members’ Tour.
