AGM & Members’ Lunch 2026
The forty-fourth Annual General Meeting of The Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust will take place at the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Newchurch (postcode TN29 0DP), by kind permission of the Parochial Church Council on Saturday 16th May at 2.30 p.m.
All members of the Trust and their families and friends are cordially invited to attend the meeting.
The Address will be given by Sir Timothy Clifford, former Director of the National Galleries of Scotland and art historian.
Important note for 2026 - Members attending the AGM will be asked to consider and vote on a proposal to restructure the Trust as a Charity Incorporated Organisation (CIO). Read more here.
Luncheon will take place at the Newchurch Village Hall (Newchurch TN29 0DP), from 12.30 p.m. The price is £25 person and members and guests are invited to bring their own wine (only soft drinks will be served). You may book online or see this sheet for a menu and alternative ways to book. Places are limited and early booking is recommended. Please note, you must be a current member to attend the Members’ Lunch. You can find out more about membership here.
Tea, to which all Members and their friends are warmly invited, will be available after the meeting, kindly provided by Newchurch PCC.
Parking is available at Newchurch Village Hall. There is limited parking at the church. The village hall is a short walk to the church.
Trust literature and publications will be available for purchase at the meeting.
